Magtalik Tayo sa Gitna ng EDSA

Magtalik tayo sa gitna ng EDSA,
Sa may kanto ng Ortigas;
Ang iyong basa
Sisisirin ng aking tigas.

Hayaan mo ang mga gusali
Ng Robinsons at POEA,
Maiskandalo sa ating kiliti
At takpan mga mukha nila.

Pati na rin estatwa
Ni Birheng Maria,
Doon sa tuktok ng dambana
Ay tayo’y itatwa.

Hayaan silang lahat
Na tayo’y isumpa’t ikahiya,
Dahil sa mundong pag-ibig ay salat,
Yun lamang ang meron sila.

Subalit tayong dalawa’y
Mga tunay na walang hiya!
Tanging yaman hanggang mamatay,
Pag-ibig sa isa’t-isa!

Outsourced! (A Small Collection of Monostichs From an Entry-Level BPO Company Worker in Our Third World– Er, Developing– Country)

From the Author

The poems were drawn from my experiences as an employee for a BPO company from April 2017 to December 2020 — and they express a strong working class bias. I dedicate this collection to Filipino BPO workers in particular.
